Vermillion Wealth Management frequently uses investment strategies managed by Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) in client portfolios. DFA funds are not available directly to individuals but are limited to a select group of financial advisory firms like Vermillion Wealth Management. We selected DFA based on our shared views about how to provide clients with the best possible investment experience. DFA’s investment strategies are based on Nobel Prize winning academic research that explains how markets really work and incorporates this approach to invest in a smarter way. We do not believe in “active” investing which attempts to beat the market by identifying mispriced stocks or forecasting the direction of the market; instead, we prefer the evidence-based approach from DFA that incorporates dimensions of risk (size, value, and profitability) to provide investment exposure. Their confidence in the capital markets allows them to think differently about investing, push the frontiers of innovation, incorporate a low cost approach, and provide a broad range of investment solutions to build a diversified portfolio for our clients.
